KING KABLE Releases Optical USB3.1 GEN2 VR Data Cable with 30m Long-Distance Transmission
2021-11-04
KING KABLE has released the USB037 optical fiber USB3.1 Gen2 VR streaming cable. Built around a USB Type-C male-to-male connector and an electro-optical conversion chip, it moves the high-speed data channel from copper to OM3 10G optical fiber, sustaining the full 10Gbps bandwidth over 30 meters and eliminating the signal attenuation, frame drops and disconnections that copper cables suffer beyond five meters.
Inside the cable, OM3 10G optical fibers are combined with copper fillers and Kevlar anti-pull yarns, wrapped in an eco-friendly PVC jacket with a slim 4.8mm diameter. The static minimum bend radius is 20mm, with long-term and short-term tensile ratings of 100N and 200N, so the cable routes easily through desks and ducts while withstanding frequent pulling during VR sessions.
The USB037 also supports PD 60W fast charging, keeping the headset powered during long streaming sessions. Connector shells are gold-plated zinc alloy and the housings are die-cast zinc alloy for stable contact and long mating life. The cable is unidirectional (host to device), requires no external power and works plug and play.
It is compatible with Meta Quest, Quest PRO, PICO and VIVE headsets, and also suits industrial cameras, security surveillance, machine vision and conference hubs that need long-reach USB3.1 Gen2 links. Operating range is -20C to +70C at under 90% non-condensing humidity, certified to ROHS 2.0 and REACH, with custom lengths and connector marking available.
