KING KABLE Launches USB021 Optical Fiber USB3.1 Gen2 Type-A Male to Female Extension Cable: 10Gbps over Up to 60m for Industrial Use
2020-09-25
KING KABLE has released the USB021 optical fiber USB3.1 Type-A male-to-female extension cable. It uses USB Type-A male and female connectors with an electro-optical conversion chip and OM3 10G optical fiber as the high-speed signal medium, delivering 10Gbps bandwidth, compatibility with USB3.1/3.0/2.0 devices and reach of up to 60 meters, overcoming the attenuation and dropouts that limit copper USB extensions to about five meters.
The conductors combine OM3 10G optical fiber with copper fillers and Kevlar anti-pull yarns under an eco-friendly PVC jacket, 4.8mm in diameter, with a 50mm static minimum bend radius, 100N long-term and 200N short-term tensile ratings and 200N long-term and 400N short-term crush ratings. Fiber transmission is immune to EMI, keeping signals stable in industrial sites dense with motors, drives and high-power equipment.
Connector shells are alloy and housings are die-cast zinc alloy for mating life and contact stability. The cable supports the UVC video protocol for USB cameras and capture devices, is unidirectional (host to device), requires no external power and is plug and play, keeping installation and commissioning costs low.
The USB021 operates from -20C to +80C at under 90% non-condensing humidity and is certified to ROHS 2.0 and REACH, with multiple lengths and customization available. It serves industrial cameras, security surveillance, machine vision robots, conference hubs and remote device extension.
