KING KABLE Launches HD012 Armored Pure Optical Fiber HDMI 2.1 Cable: 48Gbps, 8K60Hz, Up to 300m with Detachable MPO Design
2020-09-21
KING KABLE has released the HD012 armored pure optical fiber HDMI 2.1 cable with detachable MPO design. It uses a 6-core all-optical construction with an electro-optical conversion chip and no metal conductors, delivering zero-EMI lossless transmission at 48Gbps, supporting 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz with HDR and eARC, backward compatible with HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 devices over distances of up to 300 meters.
Compared with standard fiber HDMI cables, the key difference is armored protection. The cable is an armored pure optical fiber type with a PVC jacket over the armor, 5.5mm in diameter, rated for 200N long-term and 400N short-term crush force and 100N long-term and 200N short-term tensile force, with a 50mm static minimum bend radius. In conduit, buried, tray or foot-traffic conditions the fibers resist crushing and breaking, greatly improving long-term reliability.
The detachable MPO structure is designed for installation: fiber modules separate from the connectors so conduit pulling can be completed before termination, and modules can be upgraded or replaced later, reducing installation difficulty and maintenance cost. Connectors are HDMI Type-A male to male with gold-plated copper shells and die-cast zinc alloy housings.
The HD012 operates from -20C to +80C at under 90% non-condensing humidity, is plug and play with no external power (unidirectional, source to display), and is certified to ROHS 2.0 and REACH, with custom lengths, jacket materials and connector marking available. It serves government conference systems, medical imaging, security surveillance, LED wall matrices and large venues.
